No.6 (Anime) add (All reviews)
Feb 14, 2016
No.6 isn't nearly as bad as other Utopian anime I've seen.

The animation is beautiful and so are both the intro and ending themes. The music alone shows that it's going to be an overall feelgood anime. Although I wouldn't say the style of art is unique, it is beautifully done nevertheless; it adds a softness to all the characters that make them seem both human and fantastical at once. The visuals give the anime a unique charm of its own.

The general story is excellent (though predictable) and I do agree the anime could have pushed a little further with it. However, because the plot is easy to grasp I see no problem with the simplicity.

And of course, Shion and Nezumi are both characters I've come to adore throughout the series and they complement each other to a perfect fit.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime for a number of reasons, but if you're more into mind-blowingly stimulating anime, I'd say you could treat this series as a breather in between your usual selections.
