with all of the "literally" bloody scenes & the heavy spotlight on basic
religious themes.
There are various defects in the story & most of what is happening in this anime are just strange. For example:
1- If one should find a naked girl with horns on the beach, one would never think of taking her home as the first thing that comes to a person's mind.
2- The motives of the characters for ALL of what they are doing are completely blurred in this scenario. For example, spoiler alert, the main male character in this anime just decides, out of the blue, to not co-operate with police forces asking about the horned girl & just decides to hide her in his house & keep her there.
3- ALL of the reactions of ALL of the characters towards murder scenes is completely cold, stoic & unsympathetic with NO apparent reason of why they are acting so inhumanely. I mean, if one sees a person's body that has the head separated cruelly from the body, would a NORMAL reaction to such situation be like " Ok, I'm going home now"??!! Or something like " Oh, what will I do with such a mess" ??!!!!!!!
Another situation that contained the same cold reactions is, spoiler alert,
the main female character killed all of the swat forces around her & then the main male character just stood there saying " I just want to know who you are" which makes my reaction to this like"Are you really having a conversation with such a creature at a time like this??!!!" " Are you freaking human??!!!!!!"
4- The anime's story is ALL THE TIME trying to justify the murders committed by one of the main characters by giving flashbacks about her childhood (of how she was bullied for example). But, it's not a strong reason why to commit murder. In short, not every bullied child grows up to become a merciless killer.
5- When a person's family gets killed by the hands of a brutal killer, they don't romance & sympathies with the killer. However, that's what seems
to be happening in this anime.
Other serious defects can be found in the drawing of the anime itself. Something like wounds that disappear suddenly. For example, spoiler alert, the main character gets her head wounded in episode 13 which leaves her face covered with blood. However, in the next shot, her face appears completely clean whilst talking to another character. Also, when someone is thrown into the sea lacking a leg & then she appears with another personality completely intact.
This just sums up some of the MANY malfunctions in this anime & that's why it's HARDLY getting a score of 1 as a poor as it is.
