The pacing of the story in this anime was a little too slow for my liking. The first 2/3 of the show doesn't get much done in order for someone to enjoy it fast enough. You have to kinda stick it out and see what will happen next. I get that they need to explore the setting of the story in order for us to understand a lot, but I saw many scenes and many conversations unnecessarily dragged out to take up more time, I suppose.

I am a fan of vampire related stories, especially when they are told differently that the usual stereotypical kind. That's the reason I decided to give this one a try. I am not disappointed in this but I am also not amazed. Going toward the end of this anime it got interesting and I could have seen that it could take an interesting direction. One of my weaknesses is close friendships between two guys, and since this has to do with it, I stuck with it. I was going to give this anime a 6 if it was like the first half of the season, slow and nothing much happening, but for the last few episodes, I got what I was waiting for so I decided to upgrade it to a 7.


This anime overall is good, and I hope the second season gets better.
