I watched this with no knowledge of what I was in for and boy did this anime make me cry... many times. The story I found to be very intriguing, a few plot holes here and there and there are some pretty cardboard cutout characters.. BUT, I am so compelled by the two main characters (love) affair/struggles that I couldn't care less. The main characters get 9's but almost everyone else gets 3-7s
The music is incredible, I would give it a 10 if they didn't use that jangly guitar music whenever there's a (light) heartfelt moment. Jazz, Rock, Electronic it's all very nice. Visually it is a pleasing anime, nothing substantially different from the industry standard nowadays but pretty nonetheless.
I would give this series a 10 if it kept going in the direction it did judging from the first 5 episodes, but after that it gets a bit dragged out near the end of the season.
If you want an action packed, cute, adventurous, stereotypical anime then check this out!!! There is NOTHING wrong with following a few standards as long as there's an interesting and emotionally charging narrative. In my opinion, that is an anime worth watching.
