Personally, I started watching this anime because I saw a scene in a best moments in anime footage on youtube, I saw a person (who I now know is Shiina Mashiro) in a hilarious moment. After watching this I can say that she is my all time favorite character in any anime, the only person who can even compete with her is Taigo from Toradora. She is funny because she doesn't mean to be, and she gets along with almost anyone, even though she is not the main character, she shows up in a lot of the scenes and almost every episode. Personally, if she was just another random girl, I probably wouldn't have watched the anime past a few episodes, but she makes the entire thing work, and the series leaves sort of a cliffhanger ending with Shiina x Kanda leaving much to the imagination. The light novels clear up the ending much more, although 8, 9, and 10 are only in Japanese, and I haven't managed to find and English translated copy anywhere, you can look up key points to the real ending. Overall I would have liked a more conclusive ending, but I still loved what we did get from it, with a lot of characters bonding along the way and gaining real depth to them. This anime made me laugh a lot along the way as well as cry in the final episodes, this has been the only anime that has made me do that ever. For that I give this anime a 10/10, even if the story was alright/meh.
