If you haven't watched the first season, bare through the first few episodes as they set the background. If you can not enjoy it after that, then this show isn't for you (at that time). I write at that time because I did not like the series when it first aired. Weekly, it was confusing, cluttered, bothersome design, and etc. Then I tried it a few years later and was blown away.

So, season two. While the design initially could have been not as voluptuous, it eventually became part of the character. Kimi would not be Kimi if she did not have her assets. Nor Masazumi for that matter. The best thing is this season isn't about Aoi/P-01 but Hanzo. Typically, a lot of confusion is arisen at this point as to why the main characters aren't "main" anymore but they are...in an overarching manner. The story becomes more than just a boy fighting the world to save the one he loves. So much more light is shown on his companions (well, a few got lessen) and why they would fight with him and her. Its a grand narrative that some year, may be graced with a third season.

As for negatives...I'd still say the character design but I've grown to love them as stated so meh. And the history. To be concise, disaster happened in the past so everyone is recreating history as a guidance. I think. It gets confusing sometimes initially but its not like, you won't get the story if you're not a history buff. The anime does as much as it can to be understandable.

Its good.
