Story:
The story for Madoka is one that is best left unspoiled. I came in not knowing much about the show and found the various surprises in the plot to be that much more enjoyable. All that is necessary to know about the story is that everything isn't as it seems.
Art:
The art is where this anime suffers a little bit for me. At certain times the characters look a little bit wonky in their faces. The animation of the witches was highly unique, though not really my tastes. The character design is what really saves this category. The character's outfits are beautiful.
Sound:
Absolutely amazing soundtrack! I regularly listen to the tracks outside of the anime. They aren't boring to listen to on their own without visual accompaniment. Yuki Kajiura never disappoints me!
Character:
The characters change a lot through the course of the anime, and it is interesting to see each girl's motivation in choosing to become a magical girl. The characters are incredibly likeable and are my main reason for enjoying this show as much as I did. Homura is my absolute favorite and is one of the most well written characters I have ever come across in anime.
Enjoyment:
This show is highly enjoyable and nothing really compares to it. There is not a single show in my list that gives the same vibes as Madoka. It is one of the shows I recommend the most to people!
Overall:
Madoka is an easy 10/10 for me!
