The drama is not over the top, its subtle yet intense
The character stand out as being normal in the sense that they could be anyone. This movie is a depiction of real life, not entertainment only. Meaning?
It's slow-paced, builds up its characters, and is full of subtly nuances. And if you're the type of person that likes slice of life or has a learning for human existence, this is your movie! If not, you'll have a hard time following this film or will become bored half way in.
I'd say it's only for audiences who have an open mind and are fascinated with the metaphysical notions and philosophical notions of death. Colorful touches you because you relate to the character's weaknesses and insecurities. You see yourself in them because they aren't perfect. This movie digs deep into the inner facets of human life. How we humans are so flawed yet because of our imperfections make us "colorful" or "beautifully human"
In the end, I guess hope prevails.
