This is one of the few shows that I have watched through twice, once in sub and once in dub and I enjoyed both runs equally, which means the dub must be pretty good in my opinion, so watch whichever is your own personal preference.
The overarching story I found intriguing, carried out in depth and going off on tangents depending on occurring events. The political and social aspects of the show I enjoyed greatly, with the characters own unique backgrounds being well explored for the main characters, although some of the background characters were a little shallow with not much solo air time.
The mobile suit designs I loved, with the shift in power across the series due to the suits that were available to each side building up suspense.
Gundam 00 is also one of the very few shows that got me close to crying, which will be understood if watched.
Overall I highly, highly recommend Gundam 00, having loved watching it myself. One of the larger problems I had was that it was the first Gundam series I watched, which meant that I was always subconsciously comparing the other Gundams to it, which due to my love of 00 caused an unrealistically high bar for the others (although I have of course gotten great enjoyment out of the other Gundam series' I've watched).
