While I would never recommend this to an anime snob or promote the storytelling, I give this anime a seven overall due to the way it makes you feel. This is not a serious anime, lets get that right out of the way, there will be little to no tension or unexpected turns. People say the writing is very poor which is a fair criticism but I think a misguided one. The anime has a powerful connection to your feelings which I appreciate greatly. If you are looking for a light hearted anime then this will probably work for you but be warned early on it will devastate your sensibilities.

The first episode on its own could be a great introduction for a very serious plot-heavy anime with strong character development and I would even like to see a spin off like that. However, it goes the other route as expected being described as a school romance comedy, and dives straight into the relaxed tone it maintains throughout the rest of the series. I think this 'bait and switch' could turn a lot of people off but overall I enjoyed the anime as I expected it to be a bit cheesy and light.

Nine enjoyment for the feels but very low scores in terms of individuality, storytelling, and art. Nothing feels particularly new or interesting.
