The series starts out with Taniyama Mai, a "normal" freshman in high school, who is hired by a psychic investigation company after she causes an accident that injures one of the former assistants. Sounds very overused, but in fact, it works. the characters are sympathetic, if somewhat static in places. The soundtrack is great; perfect for the creepier scenes of the anime, which are definitely there, especially in the latter half of the series. The only suggestion I have is to watch this one in Japanese first--the English dub is kind of meh, but the Japanese voice acting is excellent.
But definitely, check this one out!
