You ever get tired of characters that don't wanna kill or have too many morals? well now you have Overlord. His goal is to take spread his name and he's not afraid to dirty his hands to do it. While the theme of being stuck in a game has been done before this time he doesn't really seem to care. In fact he seems to spend about 2 minutes total considering how to leave then decides it's not so bad.
Part of the reason i loved this anime was because sometimes you just want a super overpowered mc that just pulls out skill after skill and seems super badass. And with overlord since he's sort of a bad guy too he can actually use skills that kill people not just knock them unconscious or something dumb like that.
But besides the fighting it's also interesting to see how they analyze the new world and come up with strategies and tactics and are able to exploit everything around them. It definately has a tton of action in it but at the same time they try to make the mc both super powerful and really adept at planning and tactics.
Overall I found this really enjoyable because I mean how often do you get a super badass overpowered bad guy main character stuck in a game mix up?
