Parody is not a genre I like very much and watch often that's why the somehat low grade. In all fairness it is one of the better parody anime I've ever watched so you should give it a try if you like this genre and most probably you wouldn't be disappointed.
The story is about a kid who had to marry a mermaid from a mafia clan. Mermaid comes to his home and lives with him and goes to the same school. Since they can't tell anyone that they are supposed to be married and because it is a harem anime, girls in the show one by one falls in love with him as well.
As I said before I don't like parody genre and there were couple of times when I almost dropped this anime however due to its good rating I tried to finish it and I'm glad that I did because I don't know if I get used to the comedy of the show or if it was the plot but after 20th episode it really picked up. Especially 20th episode is one of the funniest anime episodes I've ever watched.
There is almost no character development but it is a comedy show and all of the characters' roles are pretty set at the start and it works. One thing I don't like is how they got to the ending. It feels really rushed. At the last 2 episodes all of a sudden lead character changes and that change start the ending story.
One last thing. I'm gonna try to be as vague as I can be to not give away spoilers but if you like to know how they conclude the harem aspect of an anime, like me, then this might interest you. When this show is finished nothing had set in stone but I think it is one of better one on that aspect.
