This is a great starter anime. It has action, romance, comedy, and an easy to follow story. It is a fun watch at any age, and fans of any gender can really enjoy it. There is plenty of action watching InuYasha battle blood thirsty demons and chase after the villain Naraku. And even my guy friend got caught up in the romance stories. I remember watching as a young teen and being totally caught up in the love triangle between Kikyo, Kagome, and Inuyasha.
Now as an adult I have to say Inuyasha is a total idiot, but there is some how a charm to watching all these misguided characters work together and struggle with their feelings. My second time watching was basically the realisation that Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's half brother, is 100 times cooler and would make a much better main character.
