Like a little bit of gore in your anime? If not, than this isn't the anime for you! From beginning to end Elfen Lied had a fantastic story which progressively got richer as the show went on. The characters where well written (for the most part), and even though the show is only 13 episodes long (not including the OVA that takes place somewhere around the time of episode 11) I was able to connect with the characters.
This was a great anime! Though it may not be for the faint of heart, i believe those who can see past the blood geysers and mutilations (xD) will be enveloped in the story that unfolds.
