The ending of the first season hints at how the plot points of season 2 will be and the penultimate episode made it painfully clear how shitty the last episode was going to be. I only skipped through the last episode, because I pretty much knew what was going to happen and even after 12 above average episodes, 10 meeeeh episodes, and 1 "uh... alright..?" episode... I didn't care anymore, I have stuff to do, let's just get it over with. I'm not sure I've ever gone from engaged to dismissive with a series that quickly. I could have forgiven this dumb season if it would have ended in a way as complex as they TRIED to make it.
I almost liked a mecha series. Almost. Way to blow it.
I would have been happier if everyone important died and both planets descended into chaos at the end of the first season. This season literally didn't need to happen at all.
