No.6 (Anime) add (All reviews)

Mixed Feelings
I've said before that I'm not the type to keep watching an anime that I'm not crazy about in hopes of it getting better. However, No. 6 managed to do that. It kept me interested enough to make me want to see the next episode. It did the bare minimum requirement for a TV show. The problem is that it didn't really do much else.
This story just seems to be going on autopilot. There is a blueprint for a half decent dystopian show here, but it is just going through the motions. Several times there is a character moment that is brought up, and it seems like it will come into play later, but by the time the show ends you realize that it never did. There is also a teenage romance subplot. I'm not going to say that it was pointless, they at the very least had something going, but it never really went anywhere.
There really isn't too much to say about No. 6. The art is good, but that's the only real notable aspect. I'm not mad at this show, but that isn't saying much. I got mad at Attack on Titan, one of my favorites. No. 6 isn't really worth getting mad over to me. Maybe somebody else would like it, but overall I have to give it a no.
