This is my first review. I'm writing a review about the whole season. Be aware of the spoilers in this review. Story(8) Natsume who is currently the owner of the Book of Friends, gets into lot of trouble while helping or returning the names of youkais. Some episodes are about how Natsume spent his childhood or a youkai that he met during his young days. The story is pretty good, actually. A youkai was chasing Natsume who wants her name back. Natsume, accidentally, breaks a barrier that is sealing a powerful youkai named Madara who wants the Book of Friends. Madara helps Natsume stopped the youkai who was chasing him. Madara offers Natsume to be his bodyguard in exchange he will be the owner of the Book of Friends if Natsume dies.That was the story how Natsume met Madara/ Nyanko-sensei Art(7) The art is okay, some episodes are dimmer while some episodes are lighter. Sound (7) The sound is also okay. All openings and endings are calming my mind. I gave it a seven because the climax lacks music or some episodes have no back ground music at all. The voices are awesome BTW. Characters (6) This is the weakness of this show. Some of the youkais' personality are just bland while some are just the same. I'm actually irritated at Natsume, without Madara or other supporting characters, he'll f*cked things up. He is also getting on my nerves on how weak he was. Sometimes he punches yokai but always he cowers or runs like a chicken. Multiple seasons in and zero growth character. Sometimes Natsume gets into trouble because of Madara's uselessness but somehow he later rescues Natsume making the same excuse like "he is my prey". I'm always confused that if he wants Natsume that is life will end. Some supporting characters actually serves a purpose on this show. Enjoyment(9) Overall (9)
