Sakurasou Pet no Kanojo, my 2nd review for a story-driven anime that was being subjected to the "generic slice of life" trope, I'd like to point out that any person who assume things from the get go without actually plunging into it is sort of a blockhead. Viewers shouldn't really judge the show by it's thumbnail cover or trailer pv, since the mission and vital scope of it will be lost or left behind, and neither will it show unless you watch it to the end rather than criticizing it first. The reason i putted this in as an intro cause i have seen some people irl and the net who turned this show down since they assumed a wrong basis of the show's premise, which is a let-down, really...

Now moving on, I first like to point out that the art and sound of this anime is spectacular, very bright vivid colours matched with cheerful personalities that definitely lightens me up whenever I watch an episode of it, and the opening/ending soundtrack of this anime is something I rarely skip if I have the spare time to listen to it, i wouldn't want to miss out on a daily serving of sweet dessert if it's given out to me for free, I might as well enjoy every last second of it ;3

The characters like I said were very bright and cheerful, all of which are likable yet there are some which i got annoyed a little time to time, I know it's not all about Kanda Sorata & Shiina Mashiro, (aka best Kuudere girl in my book), Nanami, my favorite Kansai girl, Ryuunosuke the hikikomori, and the senpai duo, Misaki and Jin, with all due respect to their relevance to the show, but by annoying I mean mostly the side characters, i know some of them have their own interesting stories to tell but i'm not fond of the fact that they sometimes overshadow the MC's presence in some of the episodes, resulting in me being left in a state of anxiousness, edgy in most cases, I know i'm probably nitpicking by now but I personally enjoy watching a whole episode of just few characters involved in a scenario rather than a whole bunch of all these other side characters trying to squeeze in the same picture, and with that, I wouldn't mind Mashiro initiating her "Plan C" on all of them, yea, which is a pretty swell plan if I might say so myself, huehue.. Anyway... enough with my little rant, all in all the main characters were great, along with their quirky, weird behaviours and lovable atmosphere, it's always fun to watch their daily antics and endeavours.

Lastly the story... how should i start... i guess an envisioning story about my experience could work.. *clears throat* ehrm, well at first in hindsight it twas' a jolly carnival ride, with different places to visit and different people to meet, I enjoy them so much that I sometimes ride the same ride over and over again, mostly due to the amount of fun that I was having, and then suddenly I stumble upon a certain peculiar yet camouflaged attraction, the type that once you're in it, you can never go back the way you came from, it goes deeper as it goes on, and upon reaching the final stretch, a mysterious assailant struck me ping hard on my head, that moments later my sensory started to react and I realized I was induced with a shock of emotional trail of beautiful thorny petals drifting along my brain, amplifying little by little while receiving a mix of euphoria and nostalgia that subsequently faded away slowly by slowly... At the end of the tunnel, i went out, shook my head, and transitioned back to reality!
Based on my theory that the likelihood of this happening to you, is either you didn't expected any of it, and was taken aback surprisingly from the string of events that transpired, or you half-expected it, but a part of you keep on denying that it will not happen but still happened anyway, mm.. the above paragraph was just a dumb metaphor so no need to rationalize as such, I wrote everything just to describe the feeling i had while experiencing the show and at the same time trying really hard to avoiding any spoiler reviews for it :)

All in all, Sakurasou Pet no Kanojo, I had a bittersweet ride but thorough enjoyment all throughout the series, hopefully for you too!! ^-^
