One word: Realism. From the art to the plot to the characterization, this movie aims to tell a very real and plausible story, and it's completely successful.

Story: 9/10

Although the whole movie is short (only an hour long), it is not rushed by any means. On the contrary, its pacing is one if its strengths, something that is difficult to do in the romance genre. Tell the story too quick, the viewers will feel cheated and wonder what was the whole point. Tell it too slowly, the story gets boring real fast. As for the plot line itself, it is exactly as the synopsis says, and it tries to answer the question: do time and distance affect love? In a romanticized story the answer would be no, as the two lovers always seem to find each other in the end, but this movie takes a more realistic approach with what happens.

Art: 10/10

Would give it 11/10 if possible. Seriously. Some of the best art I've ever seen.

Sound: 10/10

Extremely well done as well. Each piece is perfect for each scene: it isn't overwhelming and provides a firm mood for the characters to shine in.

Characters: 9/10

It is true that we never receive any deep insight into any of the characters' lives: there are no backstories, no information about where they really come from as people, what they love to do in their free time etc. This may cause the characters to appear "flat" or underdeveloped. But what they lack in "development" is made up for in their actions, dialogue, and narration. The characters are a perfect representation of "show, don't tell." The movie won't straight up tell you what kind of person he is, but instead will show you how he reacts to a situation, what he prefers to focus on in a scene, how he talks to different characters etc. This is pretty difficult to do, but this movie pulled it off perfectly.

Enjoyment: 10/10

For any romance fans out there or fans pursuing a realistic story, this is a definite watch. Even if you don't end up liking the story, you will stay for the art, because it's fantastic.

Overall: 9/10

Just a really well-made movie that is a breath of fresh air from all the idealized romances out there. Watch this movie; you will not regret it.
