Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis is easily the top-dog of 2014. And it's based off of a card game to boot.

I'm very critical when it comes to anime, and I've never given out a 10/10 because nothing seemed worthy of it. Most animes I say barely go into 6 or 7 territory. This anime came insanely close to being my first 10/10.

Every episode starts off with so much energy that it just makes you excited and keeps you watching. I was amazed the show could keep itself in check story wise due to the large scale world it presented. From start to finish, it felt great.

The only thing I can really complain about, is the very final minutes. The ending felt satisfying enough and wrapped up almost 100% of everything it showed, but the flow of the show kind of lost itself. There was a lot of emotion in the final moments, but then it just drops suddenly when switching to another scene(you'll know what I mean if you watch it) and all the emotion is kind of lost. It felt pretty out of character for the show. There was no easing into it. It just kind of switched abruptly. If the show had an extra 5 or 10 minutes, I think it could have wrapped up into a perfect 10/10.

For my literal score, 9.4/10. Must-watch.
