Ohh Elfen Lied.. yet another one of the many, many, many animes out there that didn't add much of the story from the manga so ended up short. However! the amount of content (Mature) for those twelve episodes was well worth it. It had the perfect blend of genres for both an excellent drama and story! A bit of sci-fi and some thriller, some psychological and romance there were literally so many types that were well played out during the duration of the series. Like many of who have watched and enjoyed it, Elfen Lied is truly worthy for a second season buuuuuuuut it's been years since any news or updates has been heard soooo. :(

Over all I would recommend this anime and the manga too for mature audiences only! (as it was attended for ) There's so much mature content thing and dialogue that lots of youngsters wouldn't even begin to fathom. It's totally enjoyable.
