STORY: 7.5/10
Not be sound super cliche or hipster-like, but Shurabara! isn't completely like your typical harem manga. Sure the basic foundation is there- the chaotic mess with the male lead and three females vying for his love and attention resulting in good old entertainment for us readers. However in Shurabara! is a bit different. Our male protagonist hasn't had much luck with the ladies but has defaulted into a nice guy cupid matchmaker at his school. So in other words the guy is a love-loser, but then again isn't one at the same time. *high five*. Without spoiling it, he eventually, by the power of plot becomes the boyfriend of three different girls- all on the same day! The comedic potential caught my attention and by the end it delivered.

ART: 7.75/10
The characters in this story are drawn exceptionally well and were pleasant to look at. Male protagonist had a nice flair to him and the female characters are drawn to the typical kawaii pie moe-ish standards so if you're not a huge fan of that type of artwork then take heed. Personally, it was right up my alley. The style of the designs and details match well with the tempo of the story. Being a school-life setting, the art was very clean, modern and fitting.

CHARACTERS: 7.25/10
Also a department that is pretty much full of cliche and tropes. The main female leads are your standard female archetypes- the sheltered Ojou-sama, the osananajimi and the blackmailing classmate. The supporting characters aren't memorable and are pretty much frivolous fodder from what I can remember. The male lead isn't a total pushover as seen in many harem stories and he manages to hold his own throughout the manga. You won't be seeing much development among the characters that's for sure.

ENJOYMENT/OVERALL: 7.5/10
Did I enjoy reading this? Yes, very much so. I'm a total sucker for rom-coms and Shurabara! hit all the right notes for me. The way the mangaka began wrapped up the story lines was a bit unsatisfying and I would've appreciated a more concrete (read: juicy) ending for the male lead but it is what it is. Unless you have aphrodisiacal tastes, fellow rom-com/harem/ecchi fans should feel right at home. If you need a nice (short/sweet) manga to read, definitely give this a try.
