After just finishing playing the game Bayonetta, I was surprised and overjoyed to hear there was a movie out; and considering how much I adored playing the game, I just had to see the movie.
Unfortunately, the movie fell a little flat. Compared to the game, a lot of things were cut out, and it only really focused on the major plot points. I suppose it is rather hard to fit a 10+ hour video game into a 1 and a half hour movie, but still.
I did enjoy the soundtrack though, and the animation; I especially enjoyed the extra scene in the hotel that didn't appear in the game at all. But other than that, the movie chopped and changes a lot of the scenes, making it almost a completely different setting from the game.
But; at the end of the day, I honestly enjoyed the movie despite these flaws, and because it was Bayonetta after all.
