By reading this synopsis of this anime you might not be inclined to watching this anime but that will be a big mistake because you're missing out. I'm not going to lie I didn't even know about this anime whatsoever and the only reason I even decided to watch it was because my favorite voice actor Takahiro Sakurai is in it as a main character named Mitaka Jin.

But boy was I in for a surprise. I never expected an anime to be so well written and so freaking real. From the very beginning you are shown characters who are all in some way or form "strange" or what people call them "wierdos". However, each character especially Kanda Sorata the true protagonist of the anime all grow and develop in a way that people in reality can relate to. What I truly love about this anime is the fact that the anime does not just glorify all the good things that happen but also the harsh reality of the world. The characters go through pretty rough patches that essentially put all of them in a spot where they have to change. That is something not a lot of animes show. Not many animes have it that every main character go through a major change. Another thing about these characters is that all of them are true friends and have each other's back true thick and thin. They literally are always there for each other. Plus all the relationships between characters are so dynamic because every character is vastly different. There is no one character that is like the other. Each character has its own special upbringing and special storyline that has some relatable aspect that to it. For example people understand what it feels like to be in an unrequited love like Misaki, a struggling artist like Aoyama. The thing about this anime is that the characters are all human and not in a sense that they're "not aliens" but more in the fact that they have faults. No human is perfect and that what makes this anime truly amazing because it shows how human the characters they are. Their faults, mistakes, personalities are all real and none of them are glorified in away that makes them not relatable. The relatableness of the characters allow you to feel like you're in the anime and that is something all great animes do, pull you in and this anime was no exception.

What is awesome about this anime is that is actually plausible. This whole storyline can actually be something that can happen in reality. This is what makes the anime really feel relatable. It's because it feels real. The only thing I would change about this anime is it's genre. It isn't only a romance or comedy or drama it really falls under "Slice Of LIfe". Actually, in my opinion, this anime really should be top of the "Slice Of Life" anime category because it's just that good.

Another good thing about this anime that I love about it is that it gives closure but also is still open for a new season. Not many animes know how to do that. Either an anime gives the potential for a new season or they just end it. Never have I seen an anime end so well but also kept me wanting more. I like that there was an ending but a potential for more as if to show that this story doesn't really have an ending. It's like saying "Hey this anime is over but look the characters still are developing". The characters do end up growing but by the end of the anime it shows that the characters still have room to improve and that they aren't perfect and they aren't fully developed. So yeah this ending was very well written because it shows that even though the anime ended doesn't mean the characters are done developing.

If you like animes that have relatable characters that go through major developments in a world much like actual reality then you'll love this anime. Even if you're not fan of Slice Of Life animes you should give this anime a shot because it truly will be worth your time.
