What happens when you take "The Hunger Games" and include iPhones?

You get Mirai Nikki.

Mirai Nikki was one of those anime that really had uniqueness. Each character..ehm, I mean diary, was each different and each had a specific trait that matched what each of the diary owners characteristic were. Anyways, Mirai Nikki had so much twists and shock to the point where I was speechless(especially in Episode 23...that shocked me the most.)

Mirai Nikki was a really entertaining anime because it felt like I watched "The Hunger Games" in Anime version or in Japanese for instance. The concept was interesting and the characters actually had good character development with the main protagonists.

Story: The basic concept was basically a survival game to see who would be the next God of Time and Space, set up by the current God of the world. The God chose 12? (hopefully i'm accurate -_-) people to battle it out with their phon...I mean...diaries so they can plan out how to eliminate them. I liked the concept because it would create a lot of twists and suspencefullness, this felt like one of those anime which will hold you on the back of your seats! (9/10)

Art: The artwork was pretty good and solid, I really like the gore they added though because it made it look a little realistic. The animation is a little bit funky looking, but I didn't change my mind that it was still enjoyable. (8.5/10)

Sound: The sound...it was alright at first, but then it started getting a little down and down, but the sound-track was amazing! I couldn't stop listening to the 2nd Arc Ending! Anyways, the sound was pretty good, could've improved a little more though.

Character: Each character had uniqueness...that's it. But overall, the protagonists and antagonists were each fun and clever. Each of the antagonists had interesting plans to kill each other with their diaries and they all have intelligent in them, that's what I like. From the protagonists however, Yuki was a little lob-sided, but still was a fun character to watch. Yuno however, was just the example of a perfect Yandere! She blew my mind from being a nice, gentle girl to this...idk what to call her...DEVIL! She became a deviled demon...and she was just badass in my opinion. They could've improved the character tbh, but still overall good. (7.5/10)

Enjoyment: I ENJOYED THIS SERIES SO MUCH! I loved this battle that they had! Made me feel like "what's gonna happen next?" "who's gonna die?" "what will happen?" it made me ask these questions that later on would give me a lot of interesting answers. Just an enjoyable anime overall and you would love it too! (9.5/10)

Should you watch this anime: Yes, definite watch, especially if you love Horror, Drama, and Suspence. This is a perfect watch for people because Mirai Nikki was a pretty good series overall and you might enjoy it also!

Similar Anime: Higurashi, Death Note, Sword Art Online(in the aspect of "surviving")

Final Comments: The anime really hit me, and I was glad that my friends told me to watch it because it was just amazing and I look forward to reading the manga in the future!

Rating: 8.5/10
