If you are an intelligent person who likes a good story there will come a time where (as an example) you find an amazing book that completely absorbs you, making you a part of the world. The journey was beautiful, you fell in love with the characters and you cried with every heartstring jerking moment. And you read the last word in the book and you put it down.
Then it hits you.
Its over.
And you don't know what to do.
You try to move on, and the pain does not leave, the pure darkness and emptiness of the void where that story belonged in your heart.
Clannad and Clannad After Story, is the pinnacle of this kind of tale. The characters dragging you from laughing uncontrollably to crying with the absolute pain of having lost someone so close and important to you.
I cannot recommend this anime enough, it will fulfill you, then it will end, leaving you with beautiful memories that make you both euphoric and depressed at the same time.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
