Mixed Feelings
Chrome shelled regios is a decent anime though there are areas that could be improved. It begins with a high school male character named Layfon who is apparently attending a new school. He as a dark past as an orphan who struggled in his early years and did things he regrets in order to get by. He has a past in military art buts is planning to attend school studying 'general studies' in a regios separate from the one he grew up in but is basically forced into the military division by the obstinate school president and reluctantly joins a platoon where the anime takes off from. The highlight of this anime is that it is fast paced but rarely confusing or undeveloped and there is a good amount of battles and conflict for the action enjoying viewer. The is also some comedy mixed in as well to add to the appeal. The setting is in a post apocalyptic timed period where regios are ultimately mobile cities cotrolled by a spirit that steers and powers it but life in the regios is not very different from modern society for the most part so it is easy to relate to in many areas. The draw backs are that Layfon is the main character and he is also the main source of everything. He is the only one who can fight, is the clueless guy every girl loves, and is almost kind of depressing because he goes about everything alone. Also, the setting isnt very creative for that time period. Overall, Chrome shelled regios is anime you will either really like or really dislike, but if you think that you will be of the people who really liked it then i reccomend it for sure.
