Plot:
There is a legend on this island where there is a guardian of the sea, and guardian of the land. They have to defeat the darkness.
Kanon is a girl who thought that her boyfriend went for another girl, She throws her ring into the ocean. The ring is found by Marin and Urin and they decide to give it back to who dropped it in. They come out of the ocean and find Kanon and she says that she doesn't want the rind and throws it into the Forest. Marin and Urin go and find the ring but Urin accidentally opens the seal to the darkness. And Kanon and Marin are the guardians of the land and sea and they have to defeat the darkness.
I do like a lot of the ideas in this anime. The visuals in it are pretty and relaxing. I do like it also avoiding cliches. Also the character development is great. I like both Kanon's and Marin's personality. As the episodes go on, the series really does pick up. I also like how in the beginning , Marin and Urin can't breathe in Air like humans can't breathe in water. A lot of the ideas work in this Anime.
The only problem I have with it is the music. The Music is relaxing. That is ok, but only if it for the right scene. There is an action scene where relaxing music. They slowed it down to make sure it works. But it just didn't fit. It think it stands out more in the final episode, which has a sad ending by the way.
If your looking for a anime that is different magical girl anime and a different mermaid anime. This I do suggest it.
