I guess I should start this review off by saying that if you have a weak stomach, don't bother watching this anime because it will most likely make you a tad bit sick. However, for sick puppies like myself who enjoy a little bloodshed ;) this sure as hell delivers. The first episode opens with like..10 minutes of the most violent scenes I've seen in anime. Just the opening itself tops most other entire series. Dismemberment, Lucy butt shots galore, Blood, Red mist..it has it all. I don't usually mention the plot in my reviews because you can just read the anime's main page to get your fill of that. Anyway, this is a disturbing anime, with some scenes that might be a little hard for some to stomach. Little boys and the puppy, I'm looking at you! Lucy is a cold, calculated killing machine but when she reverts into her other personality Nyu, she becomes cute, charming and funny.....It just works trust me. Aside from the child molestation scene..yes I said I said CHILD MOLESTATION!!! CALL THE FBI OMG HAZ0RR!!!!111! LULZ...I don't really talk like that but anyway. Yeah, aside from the child molestation, the whole puppy scene, the odd incest-like relationship between the two lead characters and the atrocious english dub, I have to say this is easily one of my favorite animes. A masterpiece and beautifully crafted work of art that really hits you deep. Very recommended..in Japanese anyway, don't watch the dub..ever..the only good voice in the ENTIRE cast is Lucy's! Everyone else has a squeaky..pre-adolescent voice..it's unbareable. Stick with the original Japanese version and you're in for a treat ;D
