The character design and art are fine. They work well for the theme and are colourful and pretty to watch. The animation is decent as well, even the action scenes are ok, but as is often the case, the fast action of some complex things in Anime has a lot to be desired, esp around the horses and the horse combat.
As for the story, it is boring beyond belief. The attempts at drama and crisis fall flat and the overall tone of the story is a weird mix of semi ecchi that never really IS Ecchi and twisted family/semi romance relations.
I would not reccomend this show for anyone who enjoys fantasy, and especially for those who like some of the high fantasy that Anime has achieved in the recent seasons.
I have no idea why this series became so confused but I have written this review to warn people against it because it is in the end a waste of time to hope for it to get better.
