The story had just seemed so fast. I couldn't really catch on to the emotions of the characters because of this. There were other elements that had thrown me off, the main one being Ryuu seemingly being a friend to...wait a bad guy...?...or is he now a friend again who was allowing people to try and beat up Hal and sell Kurumi...? OH now he wants Hal to snap out of it, he is helping? It was just very sloppy and didn't make sense.
Perhaps I had set my expectations very high. Hal just did not have the story all there. If it was longer and had a nice steady pace then I think it could have been better.
