"Byousoku 5 Centimeter" (5 Centimeters Per Second) in one of those movies that will stay with you forever. Completely unforgettable; well for me atleast.

This movie isn't some fairy-tale that ends happily. This movie is a depiction of real life. To be honest, I have not watched a more realistic movie in my lifetime. Which is why I absolutely love the whole story (read the synopsis). I especially love the idea of splitting the movie into 3 episodes or 3 different time periods in the main character's, Takaki, life; it's very intriguing. Look out for the symbolism throughout the whole movie, there is a lot of it, and it all makes perfect sense. Some scenes are prolonged, but they are prolonged for a reason. Enjoy them. Really take them in and let them soak through your skin and into your heart. It will feel great, trust me.

The art is stunning; it's eye-candy. I love the meticulous details to everything, and the sceneries are fantastic. You will not have a problem with it at all.

In my opinion, the soundtrack is close to (i don't like using this word) perfect. It adds on to the emotion and makes the movie even more memorable. The piano playing is especially soothing and just wonderful. One of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.

The reason why i love these characters is that they're so relatable especially Takaki. We have all been in Kanae's place where we love someone who doesn't love us back, and i'm sure we have all been in a situation where we become distant with our once close friends. Some people complain the characters are stagnant and "anti-climatic", but they clearly did not watch this closely.

This movie was beyond enjoying to me. Although the ending was not what we all wanted, it depicts real life. We do not always get what we want and everyone moves on as time flows by. The emotions this movie will make you feel is unforgettable.

Finally, EVERYONE should watch this movie. Give it a chance and you'll be surprised with how much it will affect you.
