The art is not perfect, but I believe that it fits well. I especially love the facial animations for when one of the cute characters is going on a murderous rampage.
I never imagined that this anime would become one of my top 5 favorites, I didn't expect that from a gory show. The story, along with the characters (and gore), made this to be a top notch anime.
