Story (9/10)
Elfen Lied has a great plot. It shows many of the problems that people go through in their childhood and teenage life along with a background story of supernatural phenomenons and alien being with powers. All of this in a nice bloody way hahaha.

Art (7/10)
When I first watched this anime I thought it was recent because the art wasn't bad at all but I was very surprised when I found out that it was first aired in 2002. I think the drawing is very advanced for that time, enough to make it look newer but, as every other piece of art, it has it's slight mistakes.

Sound (9/10)
Opening and endings are great, as well as the background soundtracks, despite those being badly placed in some parts of the anime. I just didn't think their rythm was appropriate to play in certain scenes.

Character (9/10)
Liked them a lot. All of them could be distinguishable and it was easy to memorize them since their physical features were different from one another. Lucy was definitely my favorite character, not only because of her powers, but also because of her opposite personalities and her nice style.

Enjoyment (10/10)
I don't think there's much more to add other than saying I loved it.

Overall (9/10)
Great anime and, in my opinion, it should have a much better rank among other users but that's just a matter of opinion. As I always say, you shouldn't discuss preferences. For me, the best aspect of Elfen Lied was the story and the huge amount of blood spilled. Don't judge me, I love gore!
