I recently watched Revolutionary Girl Utena on YouTube because I remember watching it when I was little. However, I could only rent the series so I was only able to watch the first season. Now, I've finally finished the series thanks to the Internet.

This anime, as a kid, first pulled me in by the fairy-tale quality of it and the fact that the main character was tomboyish yet still very much a girl. Plus, she had long pink hair, which I loved pink way back then.

While watching the show, I still very much loved the fairy-tale quality the show presented. I'm a huge fan of fantasy and fairy tales. The art stood out for me as well. It seemed very elegant to me. However, the series definately showed its age because it's not as clean-cut as most animated shows/movies are today.

The main problem I have with the series as a whole is that it's too repetitive and things were too slow for my taste.
