This a very strange anime keep in mind that if you seek to watch it. For me it was conceive to showcase the worst aspects of human civilization, so the main character is an anti-hero in the full sense of the term, no a Walter White type where you empathize with him in some levels, this is a full born war machine which only seeks to kill.

Appropriately the rest of the cast has very little redeeming qualities, so is hard to like any of them, much less care about their demise. This is why while watching this anime you must have constant awareness of the big picture, in this planet humanity fail, it surrendered itself to its most base instincts and there will be no salvation.

If you accept that then you mind find the show interesting, but never fun of entertaining.
