Story- The story to Clannad and Clannad After Story revolves around the main character, Tomoya as he attempts to fix the problems of his various friends and his girlfriend, Nagisa.
Art- I hate to admit it, but the first time I tried to watch Clannad, I stopped watching after one episode due to the animation, but after (thankfully) giving it another try, I eventually got past the size of the characters eyes (TOO DAMN BIG) and got more emotionally involved with the story.
Sound- Let's just say I tear up every time I hear that damn dango family song.
Characters- I found every character equally entertaining to watch. The character development in this anime is spectacular!
Enjoyment- I have never watched an anime, TV show, Movie, etc that has made me cry. I always thought "I must be a cold hearted dude" when everyone in the room BUT me was crying... Then I watched this anime. This is the only form of cinematic entertainment that has not only made me cry, but also laugh, be nervous, and happy all in the span of a few episodes. Can you say emotional roller coaster?
Overall- Overall this anime is a must watch for anyone. Before I wrap up this review, I want to let everyone understand something. I have always felt that any T.V. show that can make you care deeply for someone you have never met, or for someone who isn't real, did it's job perfectly. I just want to say, this anime made me want to be a father and boyfriend/husband, if a show can make me have feelings like THAT...wow.
