"What makes an anime great and fun to watch is its uniqueness and unexpectedness and this goes to show that Japan can or cannot fail to amuse me."

Before I gather my conclusions and opinions about this show, I will give you my first impressions on Kuroko no Basket. This show aired in our country and I wasn't interested because I thought it was some dumb copy-cat show and it just made a Slam-Dunk imitation. Basketball is a serious sport and it shouldn't be wasted on stupidity and I thought it was only about handsome men and their show-off skills to seduce girls or something. My friends wanted me to watch it because it is informative and a good show. I, on the other hand, couldn't bring myself to watch this piece of crap and I don't want to witness this unworthy impersonating anime. Alas, it was Christmas Break and I was thirsty and hungry for some anime.. and as funny as its sounds, my hatred turned into curiosity.

For starters, an anime could be realistic and unrealistic but this one has both. People could say that a show is a show unless its hypothetical and people would be mad about this anime because it is not like the basketball matches we see on NBA and other basketball programs, It has some sort of twists and turns. I can't imagine myself trying to watch this, at first .. okay a blue-haired guy and a tall, masculine red haired guy joining forces to be the best in Japan.. that sound simple but their journey on how to get there is simply exquisite and reasonably awesome. Anything can happen and even if the story is quite simple for the reason that the main character wants to be the best basketball player/team in Japan and so on this is actually the same story as the other top rated anime have. Naruto : he wants to be the best ninja in japan. Yakitate Japan: the best bread or make the national bread in Japan. Soul Eater: to become the death scythe of grim reaper. They all have different goals and every main character has those stories but the path to get to that aim is very exciting and I'm sure you guys will enjoy this show as much as the other popular animes out there. Last, don't give that unrealistic bullshit around here, these basketball players will blow your mind and in anime, anything can happen so shut your freakin' mouth and watch this.

The drawing is pretty good. It is in HD, it is modern and I think I saw this art somewhere but this one is outstanding. The hair colors are different which is easier to see which character is playing, talking or being pointed at. the artist made a good job in creating distinct hair styles and colors.

The sound is outstanding, I can't help but feel that athletic mood when I hear the music and the OST has that dash of rock, melody, a bit of piano?(was that piano?) and so on. There were suspense soundtracks which nailed every scene. The anime is pretty lively so expect that the music may give you that adrenaline rush kind of feeling.

Characters were very good. There were incredible personalities which I've seen in every character. Kuroko is a bit light headed, calm, and emotionless sometimes. Kagami is really hot-headed, will-spirited, scary, tough and competitive guy. Sometimes I feel like there were yaoi scenes and they really make a good couple :D. Well, that's the only hint I can give you guys because you need to watch more of it to know the surprises and stories behind each player and character.

I had this good feeling when watching this show, feeling of enjoyment, excitement, greatness, and my expressions were indescribable. ecchi moments were actually uncomfortable but you know.. it's Japan they like those stuff so I think I can handle those.... Ecchi moments. Every game has many surprises and I believe that people can have good feedback about this show.

Overall this anime is good. You can watch it during your past time and continue to live that experience. Watching this anime not only gave me entertainment but it linked me to have trust, friendship and hope. Sometimes we only watch anime in order to have something to watch or to enjoy but little did we know there are lessons behind these shows. I know I'm being corny but believe me.. this show is that good.
