This being my first review ill say a few things: (1) im not giving an in-depth review like most people but one that gives a quick overview and if you should bother watching or not. (2) English is my worst subject (i'm a numbers kid) so please be gentle with me as you read my poorly structured and written review. (3) im writing a review just cause i can.
NOW ONTO THE REVIEW
ART:
The art is really well done, the scenery, main characters and monsters are done quite well. The fighting scenes aren't done rushed, quirky and ugly (like later episodes of naruto ref to naruto vs pain battle) but appealing and inviting. I found myself re-watching these scenes over and over half of the time saying. the highlight of the art would be the facial expressions, a lot were enjoyable to watch.
SOUND:
Downloaded the OP as soon as i could (Crossing field by LISA). The ED was decent and both OP & ED matched the animation. The voices matched the characters well and i can't say there were any voices that made want to shoot myself (Tsunayoshi from KHR). Sound effects from the weapons were decent along with the creatures growls and what not.
CHARACTERS:
There isnt much character development with the mains, even for the main main character kirito so dont expect much in development wise except for the fact that yes he gets the girl and for which one well by applying basic anime knowledge you'll get the answer.
OVERALL:
I'll say it now SAO has it flaws for what they are is entirely up to you though also to me there were only 16-17 episodes (basically the first half + the last 2)
But in saying this i heart SAO, and not only me but people who don't even like anime have said SAO was epic and a must watch, just dont expect much from the ALO saga. Fairies WHY!!.
SAO is a MUST WATCH so WATCH IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
