Before I start this review, I will warn you about my method of making reviews. I will be making this as if I don't know anything about Japanese ethics, culture, reasoning, and etc. Also I will take facts and information solely gathered from the anime itself. With that in mind, lets get on with the review.

Story: 9
This anime has a pretty good story that has a an interesting beginning. Our story begins with out main character, Nagasumi Michishio, drowning due to some particular reason not given within the anime. From what I gathered from the anime, a mermaid by the name of Sun Seto rescues him. After a lot of scenes, the main character is forced to either marry Sun or die due to mermaid law. Of course the anime would be about the marriage route, since it has 24 episodes. As the story progresses, Nagasumi slowly gains new abilities and meets new people, such as his supposed "rival in love",Kai Mikawa, and Sun's rival, Lunar Edomae .Many of the episodes contain his misadventures that relate to the mermaid realm of mob and ethics or how they are affecting his life. A common trait constantly pushed through the anime is Chivalry, mostly by Sun herself. The rest is for your pleasure to watch and LOLIHO! LOLIHO! LOLI LOLI LOLIHO!

Art: 8
The art is from the early 2000's and is quite good for its time, but there is some haziness or static during some parts of the anime that bothered my eyes, but altogether was pleasant to look at, with bright colors that were light on the eyes.

Sound: 10
Might as well have been perfect since voicing is spot on, the intro is actually worth a watch, and many of the songs within the anime are quite entertaining

Characters: 10
Bear in mind, many of the characters are not original, but are portrayed so well, it is forgiven, from tough guys to sissies, this anime has it covered in every way, shape or form. For example, Sun's father, Gozaburo hates Nagasumi, because he does not wish to give away his daughter to anybody (not incestual) and is willing to get rid of Nagasumi through any means necessary. Nagasumi, however does not often return the sentiment and merely tries to avoid his wrath, due to his levelheaded nature and pacifistic tendencies, he often is running from whatever it is that is trying to kill him.

Enjoyment: 10
There's not one point in this anime that I didn't find myself laughing at or face palming (in a good way) and I constantly cracked more smiles in a day then I will for the rest of my life

This anime truly is worth every minute spent, but I will warn you, don't drink or eat during the majority of this anime or you will be choking on it or having it come out your nose!
