Now actually onto why I like Gundam SEED over Gundam 00 and Gundam AGE. Gundam SEED was not a masterpiece, nor was it a flop, it was good. Gundam SEED has its faults, like a sentimental main character and awkward or filler episodes. However, Gundam SEED used those flaws and made them their strong points. Such as the emotional main character, in the anime there is a character that cries a fair amount and does not want to kill his enemies. Now usually after following this type of character follows flames and critics after the character, but Gundam SEED designers used elements such as their belief becoming their sword and winning in that way and making some really, pardon me for the urban language, "epic" battle scenes to over shadow the non-killing. As a result, the anime has bad points, but has elements to counteract it, something the others do not really have (although some will argue against that). So, um, that is why I liked it over the others.
The story was fair, typical really in Gundam series. The art was a bit poor, but considering when it was made and that they did a remastered version, it is great. The characters, were somewhat built but they lacked background; throughout the entire series some characters (like the insane one) had no information on why they were like how they were, but it did have original characters.
