This is a spoiler free review:
Byousoku 5 Centimeters(5 Centimeter Per Second), no matter how hard I tried I could not find any single way to describe this anime as its captivation to me was worlds apart from what I had intentionally thought this anime was going to be. The story for this anime will bring out emotions in all that even with the coldest of hearts, like mine, can still deliver a message to the viewer of a wide range of emotions that will make your heart jump out of our chest and try to resuscitate you.
Art for this anime was exceptional in all regards, the animation alone blew my mind and I have yet to seen any other movies capture or recreate this same elements that this movie did.The soundtrack complimented this anime in every aspect and can. The characters were highly relatable and can do what most anime can't do and is to bring a believability to the audience and leave an impact that would make a grown man cry. In entirety this anime is what happens when you capture all aspects that makes us human and deliver it on the big screen, well you know what i mean. I really enjoyed this anime and i recommend this movie to all who has not seen it.
In my opinion I hate endings that can destroy you on an emotional level but with this movie it was definitely worth it. My only gripe with this movie was the ending felt a little unsatisfied and left lots of questions, but if you want to know some answers i suggest you check out the manga, i believe it was 11 volumes and the ending add a little more to the experience and honestly I don't like bad endings but the ending for this was bitter sweet. So what are you waiting for go and watch this anime already, and final thought this anime is not for the weak of heart.
