The art was Amazing! There are a few fight scenes that looked fantastic! The blood and gore and how the camera was angle for mystery, phenomenal. The characters all look ridiculously generic which is what they were going for so plus plus
The sound was another great great thing. Scenes where things were creepy the art helped apply a lot of the creep but the sound tipped me over and I would watch this before I went to bed and for some episodes i was geninuly afraid of the dark. The music doesnt neccisarly stand out for the creepy scenes but they do stand out for the love and sweet scenes. I actually have the songs on my phone and laptop i loved them so much. The way they would put together the sound with each scene was stupendous. It always cued at the right time and i genuinly felt love. Love for the characters, love for my friends and family, just love! The sound really shows this deep understanding and sorry i think. Just like " This is a terrible terrible thing but i still love you even though i know we're going to die" Thats what the music says to me.
I'm not the most experience anime addict but I have seen quite a few and I can see that most are pretty similar with generic character archetypes. Bad ass girls, guys that are too afraid to fight, rich snobs, intelligent males with a god complex, goofy side characters, emo/dark side characters. This show definitely has a couple of those but they make it obvious and exploit them like that. I guess i should have said in the beginning Another reason i so loved it is each character with out flaw was super developed and had a back story or something driving them, a reason they were like that. you may say "well that's awfully convenient" but that's why they are characters, because they are messed up. Yuno especially is a once in a life time character. she is so interesting and mysterious and surprising and thinks very objectively which i enjoy. I think Yukki could be compared to a lot of other protagonists. The side characters really do bring out the show with each having their own sweet back story and reason or drive why they have to win.
My personal enjoyment was 10/10. Every episode was so different from any other show! It was actually suprising and kept me addicted! I felt remorse for all the characters and they bring it together.
So all in the end the show was amazing please watch. add me on here im always willing to talk about anime since i have one friend who watches anime besides me at my school so im kinda lonly! But yeah.
