I recently watched the 3rd Madoka movie and I really enjoyed it. The only thing lacking in the movie was the story. The ending was unsatisfying. It felt like they were setting up for a 4th movie because there was no real conclusion. The scene after the credits in the show had very little to do with the movie.
The art was amazing and they kept with the same art style from the previous movies. Definitely worth watching in theaters as the big screen will show off the well done animation.
The sound track was also really well done. They got ClariS and Kalafina to do the opening and ending themes for the movie. They got different songs from the original shows which was nice. The sound track that was playing throughout the movie was in the same amazing style as the show and other movies. Also they had the original opening in the movie as a type of easter egg. Don't want to spoil when you will hear it but it won't be hard to miss.
The characters were all the same. Mami, Sayaka and Sakura didn't get as much screen time as Homura and Madoka but it was more Madoka's and Homura's story. There wasn't as much character development but that didn't bother me at all.
I enjoyed this movie a lot. My only complaint is the story. Maybe I just didn't get the ending and will have to rewatch it again but as it stands now the movie didn't feel complete. I give this movie a 9/10 and recommend everyone who is a Mahou Shoujo Madoka fan to watch it.
