why the title is "5 centimeter per second"? the title is metaphoric but in literal it is just "distance". And why the story is so intricate? it is because of the "doubts" and being "afraid" that possessed them especially the guy. kissing someone w/out saying "iloveyou" is doubtful and it cant be consider that you love her/him w/out any confirmation. if you really love someone you make a move without fear if you wont let him/her lose your grip. The guy here is the main problem who made 5 centimeter per seconds bec. of his doubts and fear that at the end he was trapped of his own mess that stays lonely. As a man u must confess, and as a women we reply but without a confession there is no reply... (the storty similar of the Hollywood movie of 500 days of summer)
