IMO, probably the most under-rated of all the gothic post-apocalyptic animes out there. As far as an engaging plot, the surface plot is a bit lacking but the plot twists and character engagements are absolutely first rate. It's an easy watch, but do NOT watch this thing dubbed. The english voice actors are horrid, and I mean HORRID - they will completely ruin it for you. I liked the art because it was so unique, but I know a few people who are so turned off by it that they couldn't even watch the show. The soundrack is perfect for the show.
