First of all, I don't want to go into much detail like others do
What comes to my mind whenever I see all the reviews here is that most people gave this show 9++ because the main chara has similar past to them
That's the only thing that I can conclude

Well, at first glance, I thought this show was gonna be interesting since
the main chara has quite a unique characteristic and all

But I'm kinda disappointed in it because It really deviates from the genre which is a rom com,
Sometimes I wonder in which part of this show the romance is brought to the surface and where the comedy is ?
Well there are probably a few funny scenes, but that's not enough for me to call it an anime with genre 'comedy'
Tonari no Kaibutsu kun has A LOT better comedy and romance I think

In addition, I personally think that the main chara has no chara development at all and he is kinda pathetic, well I know that kind of 'straightforward and blame-me-then-your-problems-will-all-be-solved' typed-characters
He reminds me of Kyousuke (OreImo) since their attempts at solving problems are somewhat the same
But what I see in OreGaIru is that Unlike Kyousuke, who gets himself blamed by others but then the problems really get solved, This 'Hachiman' guy gets himself blamed without any problem getting solved
Even It worsens the problem sometimes
His attitude is just as pathetic as shizuka sensei states in Episode 1
He blames people for everything, he is so desperate just because he was friendzoned in the past, even though he looks indifferent to his surroundings, his thoughts in his monologue are just shit saying that other people enjoying the spring are the wrong ones, while his thoughts are the only right ones
He once said that he was not clueless, but in fact he didn't even know yui's feeling at the moment
Just how much of an I-know-everything-and-what-I-am-doing-is-right typed character he is ?
He doesn't care what others think, that means that he is a narrow-minded person who doesn't want to listen to others, he judges others generally and compares them to the people he knew in the past, even though he knows nothing about the people around him since he is indifferent, he only concludes things based on what he perceives through his eyes
just because he had problems with people in the past, It doesn't mean all the people around him at present are the same, does it ?
hachiman is just desperate and shows a bad example for loners
Being loner doesn't always mean you have to blame others for everything
I was a loner in high school back then, but the only thing I did was not talk too much to others and distance myself by doing so.But I never judged them as I pleased.
Read this "I hate nice girls. Just by exchanging greetings with them will get them on your mind"
^THIS
Why does he even blame the nice girls for coming to his mind ?
It should be hachiman who gets over himself since he always expects too much from girls who are nice to him and then gets friendzoned over and over, and ultimately blames those nice girls for friendzoning him
Why blame nice girls for being nice ?? Only Id**ts would think that nice people are their causes of problems
It's actually hachiman's own problem that he himself has to get over, If he does not wish to be friendzoned, then he should just not expect things too much when being treated nicely, blaming others for his own stupidity is just laughable.Perhaps he is the type of person that thinks that life is so much easier when he has someone to blame
And now , I'm confused by how people can admire this sort of characters so much
Most say that he is interesting, and some people say that he is pretty much like Kyon from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu WTF =w=)a !?
He is not even close to being thoughtful
I just dislike him for being a shitty character who always puts blames on other people, has negative thoughts towards everything, views things merely from his very point of view.
Maybe most people just like to see characters that are similar to them, and become proud of themselves since there is an anime character that totally looks like them and has similar point of view to them
People tend to like whatever is favorable to them, don't they ?
Well everyone has their own opinion
I believe that people just like him for having the same problems as them
But having that sort of desperate thoughts is just not right
because it leads you to darkness and the unchanging situation.
Things never change unless you change yourself first(by changing the way you look at others and making yourself view things from different points of view),that's the first thing that I was taught in psychology class, that's why hachiman never solves anything. It's because he doesn't want to change himself because he thinks that he is already a good person and is satisfied with his current self. It's okay to be the way you are, but it applies to you only if you're already a good person and yet you are unique in your own way, that's what It means to be the way you are.You have your own uniqueness in a positive way that you shouldn't change.
I hope that If the producer is really going to make the 2nd season, please put the romance more into the story =))
Since It's frustrating to see an anime that has romance genre written on its cover but has no romance-like story at all
A guy with a couple of girls in a club like this is typically a story of harem-like anime
I never rate any show below 7, because I appreciate the author and I know how hard it is to make a good story along with the good character developments.
So I'm giving this show 7 :3
