Elfen lied, an anime of love, despair, and a ton of fucking blood!!! The story was very original for me, though the ending was why I gave this anime a 8 instead of a 10 in the story catagory. I really enjoyed the blood and the violence over anything else in this series and it really knows how to fuck with your brain. The fight scenes are amazing and I really love the animation. The characters are... unrealistic. Like Koda, who "forgives" Nyu even though she ruined his life. Some characters where also killed off far to quick, for example the mad scientist who grew horns on his head. I have found that if you think too much into the overall plot of this series, it will lead you be annoyed by how the series was potrayed. Overall Elfen lied is a good series to kick back, relax, and enjoy the gore. I have used this anime on several occasions to get people into anime overall, like my friend ronny.
