First up, THE STORY! That was probably the worst part of this anime. I had no idea what was going on at the start of the anime. So first this awesome fight scene with 3D and a lot of CG pops up for a minute or two. Then it switches to a regular school scene. It repeats this cycle over and over in the anime. I had no idea what was going on here. Of course, later on I grasped the meaning of this situation. But the PLOT HOLES, goddammit. They need to patch those up. Maybe take a bucket of explaining and a few pieces to fix them.
The Sound wasn't bad at all. The traditional Black Rock Shooter song with Hatsune Miku and supercell in there. Definitely matches. I'm not a big fan of Miku(sorry guys, but GO LILY!!!), but this song matched and I sorta liked it.
Here comes the character train. The characters in the "other world" as they call it were pretty epic in terms of looks and personality. They didn't talk much though. Only Black Rock Shooter really talked at the end. The characters in the "real world" were average, nothing special. Average anime school girls, whatever you call them. I'd give it an 8 for this at most.
Well, did i damn enjoy this anime. The fighting sequences were top-tier. Never seen an action anime like BRS. I mean, I could be a Sports Anchor and be like, "There goes Black Rock Shooter giving a skeleton her flying kick! She draws out her swords and slices and blasts the surrounding soldiers with some smooth moves!" You get what I mean.
Overall, this anime called "Black Rock Shooter" was some top-tier action for me. On my list of action, this would probably place #1. Oh yeah, I even have a BRS pencil case :D. Jelly? So, to wrap up this quick review that I finished in less than 20 minutes, I'll give BRS an overall of 9. Pretty nice of me, huh? See you next time at...somewhere here on this site.
